The Library received an
endowment to purchase materials relating to the history of and
life in the West. Materials purchased with this gift are part of
the Warren E. McCain Collection for Western Life. Materials with
call numbers E51-E99, F590-F999 and PS561-PS572 are housed in the
McCain room. Other materials purchased with this gift are
scattered through-out the general collection. They are identified
with a special bookplate inside the front cover.

Directions: From the First
Floor Elevator Lobby, go up the stairs or take the elevator to
the 2nd floor. After exiting the elevator, turn right and
go through one of the two doorways to the open area. Walk
past the shelving units on your right, and turn right. Walk
toward the windows. The McCain Room is to your left after
the Special Collections & Archives area.
