Boolean The default Advanced Search uses “all of the words,” “the exact phrase,” “at least one of the words,” “none of the words.” Each has its own search box. The Search Results interface uses Boolean operators, AND, OR, NOT.
Truncation Symbol The database automatically determines and uses the root or stem of words entered. For example, searches for figure, figures, figured, and figuring will have the same result set as a search for figur.
The asterisk (*) and the question mark (?) are supported. The
'*' stands for zero or more characters at the end of a search word and the '?' stands for any character within the search.
