How do I cite Internet sources on my term paper?
First, you have to know which bibliographic style your instructor wants
you to use. Then:
-
Most of the organizations that issue a standard
bibliographic style (APA, MLA, etc) have directions for citing Internet
and other sources on their web pages:
-
The University’s Writing Center has links to
APA, Chicago/Turabian, and MLA styles at Online
Writing Resources.
-
The latest copies of the various style manuals also contain directions
for citing electronic sources. The Library has multiple copies of the
most commonly used manuals in its Mini-Ref collections. These can be
checked out. Non-circulating copies of the more specialized manuals can
be found in the Reference Department. If you can’t find what you want,
be sure to ask at Reference Assistance.
