Web Services Librarian


General Description: Boise State University is seeking a librarian to provide vision and leadership in ongoing development of the Library's Web site and electronic services. The Web Services Librarian has primary responsibility for Library Websites and integrates technology into Web-based services focused on user learning and research. The position facilitates investigation and implementation in new areas such as online instruction, customizable, interactive, and social computing, and increased support of multimedia applications and environments. The position builds consensus and communicates effectively with librarians and staff to collaboratively design and offer innovative Web and electronic services based on user needs and learning characteristics. The position coordinates training and support for creation of new technologies and applications. The position may also participate in Reference, Instruction, and Collections work. The Web Services Librarian will work closely with librarians and library staff, library and campus computing and network personnel, and will report to the Associate Dean, Library Services.

Salary and Appointment: Minimum salary of $40,000. Comprehensive benefit package. This is a full-time, 12-month, tenure-track position with faculty status and academic rank. Appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor. Entry level applicants are encouraged to apply.
