Boise State University History

Some Basic Sources Available in the University Archives

The Archives of Boise State University is part of the Special Collections Department of Albertsons Library. The Archives contains the official records and publications of the university going back to its founding as Boise Junior College in 1932. Among the largest record groups within the Archives are the records of the Presidents and Vice Presidents and the photo archives. The Archives contains approximately 20,000 file folders of records in more than 300 boxes, plus thousands of publications and photos. The Special Collections Department has created a computerized database that lists and indexes all of the files and major publication groups. To consult the index, call us at 208-426-1736.
