Resources for Methods in Evaluation and Social Research

Do you have a question about "how to do" evaluation research?  Ya-Lin Liu and Gene Shackman provide a multitude of links to free sites that help with these questions.

Web site for the American Communication Association.

Communication Institute for Online Scholarship

Gives access to Tables of Contents for communications journals, forums, directories, and other services for communication studies.  This organization produces and distributes ComAbstracts as one of its services.

Directory of Scientific Journals in Media and Communication

From Nordicom, Nordic Information Centre for Media and Communication Research, this directory lists open access journals and print journals that may also be published electronically.  Each entry has some information about the journal, and a link to the journal's home page.

Dartmouth's Sources

Duke Libraries

"Citing Sources and Avoiding Plagiarism" describes citing sources within a paper, creating a list of works cited, plagiarism, and strategies for avoiding plagiarism.  Together, these sections provide a good review of the expectations in the academic environment for giving credit where it's due.
